sea, salt, sun, and sand
Each season, and sometimes depending on the month, I like to delve into my yearning to decorate for the upcoming holiday or season. While I don’t particularly like to fill my house with seasonal items and knick-knacks, I do like to surround myself with reminders of the holidays and enjoy the idea of sharing my excitement of the changing seasons with guests. I found great inspiration in the way my dearest friend, Lauren, so classically and non-clutterily (is that a word?) celebrates. I liked her idea so much that she decided to give me the gift of fulfilling my urge to seasonally decorate year round. Lauren presented me with a dark brown, iron terrarium as a wedding gift. Not only is it fun to decorate, it compliments my home wonderfully. This season, I am celebrating Summer! Take a look…
Each time I walk past my summer scene, I find myself feeling closer and closer to the sea, salt, sun, and sand of life along the water.

I like the idea of not filling the house with knick-knacks, and instead, filling the terrarium. My favorite part of this one is the starfish. It makes me want to go to the beach!

Are you KIDDING ME!!!!??? Sheesh! It’s about as perfect as it can be. I LOVE it…you has a total flare for decorating…I love how you arranged everything. MY favorite part is the Sandcastle Moments painting about the terrarium…who painted that!?
Can’t wait to see it in person.

This terrarium scene is so soothing–great job putting together all the fun elements of the sea.

This is a great idea for my house because my little munchkins love, love to “play” with my few “pretty” things. Thanks for the great idea!

[...] guess it’s that time again…to switch out my terrarium scene to a more spooktacular sight. I have to admit…I made the switch on in the morning of October [...]
