“chalk” this up to a great idea

I’ve been contemplating what to do with this old windowpane for quite some time now. I’ve been dragging this thing around with me from house to dorm room, to apartment, and now to my very own home. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to finally make something of this flea market find. I finally got up the courage and headed to Home Depot for some cut boards and chalkboard spray paint. This is what I ended up with…

With a few cutesy knobs along the bottom, this will make a lovely place for us to hang our keys and leave notes for one another.

CUTE! Perfect by the front door!

Very creative! The bevel of the window panes make perfect ledges for the chalk to rest on.

I had traded some molding to a friend for her old window frame just like yours. I am a lover of Terry Redlin prints so I had an old calendar I had been saving for a very long time so I took my most favorite pictures and put them on the back of the frame and it really turned out neat. I will take a picture of it and post it on my blog this weekend if you’d be interested in seeing. Anyway, I loved your idea also, keep them coming.
