In just under one month from now, Eric and I will no longer hold the title of “newlyweds.” We will celebrate our one year anniversary. We’ll be an old married couple! Our wedding was held on a sheep farm in Lovettsville, Virginia. We had, what I like to call, a sophisticated country wedding. The ceremony was held under a huge Butternut tree just in front of the farm’s pond.
After the ceremony, the guests headed up the hill to the vineyard where there were cocktails for the adults
and hay rides for the kids.
The evening continued in the barn with dinner and dancing.
I had so much fun preparing for the big day. I really allowed my creative side to run free and tried to add personal touches for display and enjoyment throughout the day and evening. In celebration of our one year anniversary, I will be posting a series called “sophisticated country wedding.” I’m looking forward to this series. I am so happy to share my ideas with other brides-to-be and will take any opportunity to revisit our wedding day all over again.
